2018 AIGA SF Fellow
With a BA double major in English and Art History from Colby College and an MFA in Graphic Design with valedictorian distinction from the Academy of Art University, Laura Scott brings deep respect for the power of words and a passion for high-impact design to her work for clients across the for-profit/non-profit spectrum. Laura’s highly visible and awarded design projects include the California Academy of Sciences, Stanford Law School, and Equator Coffees & Teas.
In 2009, following a 10-year tenure as associate working with partner Kit Hinrichs at international design consultancy Pentagram, Laura founded Studio Scott. The firm is committed to partnering with enterprises working to make the world a better place. Healthcare, farm-to-table sustainability, public lands, the performing arts, education—these are just a few of the causes emboldened by Studio Scott’s design.
A thread of service runs through Laura’s career. As AIGA SF Education Co-Chair, she oversaw AIGA SF’s annual Portfolio Day and the Enrichment Scholarship program. She taught through Studio 5, AIGA SF’s education outreach program for inner city fifth graders, and has been a guest instructor at the Academy of Art University.
