FEATURED SPEAKERS

Elle Luna

In 2013 Elle left her day job to dive into painting full-time. Prior to that, she had helped design Mailbox's iPhone app, redesign Uber's iOS app, and scale the storytelling platform, Medium; before startups, she spent five years at IDEO. The TGD alum has continued to make art and speak about her journey—and she’s written a book and created the 100-Day Project.

Maurice Woods

Maurice "Mo" Woods is Senior Experience Designer for MileIQ (Microsoft) and sits on the board for Design Ignites Change. He is also the founder of Inneract Project, a non-profit program focused on providing underserved youth access to design and training through free design classes and initiatives. Maurice has worked in both print and interactive media—at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, Pentagram Design, Studio Hinrichs and Yahoo. He played basketball professionally worldwide for seven years, taught undergraduate classes and served as an advisor to graduate students at multiple colleges. He has lectured nationally and internationally and contributed to various media outlets including the Wall Street Journal. Maurice self-published Envisioning Blackness in American Graphic Design, a look at how visual aesthetics plays a significant role in advancing the identity of African American culture. He served as Co-Chair of Education for AIGA San Francisco and nationally as a Board Advisor for the Diversity Archive Collection Exhibition.
