Tasked with the honor of creating the entrance experience for this year’s Opening Reception, LOCZIdesign joined forces with (Heavy Projects), CULT Exhibitions Aimee Friberg and artists Rhonda Holberton and Can Buyukberber to create a layered experience, tempting the senses through sight and sound and engaging the mind as we question what it is we’re seeing, and through what lens?” says LOCZIdesign’s founder, Paige Loczi. As artists and purveyors of space, what role does technology play and how do we move beyond perceived limitations to reach the participant emotionally.

Moderated by Alisa Carroll, Editor in Chief of San Francisco Cottages & Gardens As inaugural Editor-in- Chief of SFC&G (San Francisco Cottages & Gardens), Alisa launched the publication in 2014 and led it to its current position as San Francisco’s definitive design magazine. Alisa’s new book, Art House, chronicles the collaboration of one of the world’s leading art collectors, Chara Schreyer, and iconic designer Gary Hutton. Published by Assouline in Fall 2016, it has already gone into its second printing and has been featured in Vogue Paris, Vogue Living, Cultured, Ideat, and many other publications. Alisa previously co-authored Collected Cool, a monograph on the work of Jay Jeffers, published by Rizzoli. Over the past decade, Alisa’s writing on art and design has appeared in many publications, and she has moderated panels at the de Young Museum, ArtMarket, LA Art Show, Design San Francisco, San Francisco Fall Art & Antiques Show, and beyond. She is the founder of Sheltering Art, a panel series that explores the design of homes for private collections.
