Vanessa is currently a Senior receiving her Bachelor of Science in Design: Visual Communications at San Francisco State University, Spring of 2022. In addition to her course work, she is a graphic designer for SFSU’s Associated Students. SFSU’s student government, Associated Students (AS), serves as the official students’ voice. AS is committed to empowering SFSU’s highly diverse student body through dedication to shared governance and social justice. Additionally, she continues to support student driven initiatives and is working together with her peers to decolonize their design education. Vanessa is also collaborating with students from both SFSU and UCSC on research surrounding meetings in Virtual Reality spaces.
