The AIGA SF Communications Committee is responsible for elevating the public image of the chapter through all of our communications, including our collateral, website, email blasts and social media efforts. Chairs ensure that AIGA SF presents information to members and friends clearly and concisely while also ensuring a high level of design and communications quality.

General duties and responsibilities include:

  • Striving for a standard and consistent tone in all chapter collateral and content
  • Proofing all event collateral, newsletters, website and major correspondence
  • Coordinating and executing email blast schedule and content
  • Engaging with those interested in AIGA SF via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media outlets
  • Developing relationships with design-related journalists and other professionals in the design communications arena and offering event and story ideas about the chapter
  • Cross-promoting events with other design organizations
  • Seeking out videographers, photographers and writers who wish to help document AIGA SF events or help to expand our website content
