AIGA SF Presents "Talking type and clay" with Andy Cruz and Cathy Bailey
Talking type and Clay with Andy Cruz and Cathy Bailey moderated by Amos Klausner
5 to 6pm followed by a launch party for Heath/House Industries clocks with live music until 9pm
In celebration of the two companies’ most recent collaboration, Heath Ceramics and House Industries come together for a fun and casual design conversation at Heath San Francisco.
How exactly do type nerds from Delaware work so well with a heritage dinnerware company in California, you ask?
Catherine Bailey, creative director for Heath; and Andy Cruz, co-founder and designer at House Industries, share the stories behind several House+Heath collaborations, including the design of the new, hot-off-the-kiln Heath+House Industries Clocks. And yes, there will be plenty of opportunity for geeking out on all things typography and graphic design. If you love type, or ceramics, or design (or all of the above), you’ll want to be there for this conversation. Join us on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 5:00 – 6:00pm in the viewing court at Heath San Francisco. Afterwards, stay for the opening party to celebrate the launch of the new Clocks, in the Heath SF showroom from 6-9pm.
Heath & House Industries Clock Launch Party
The crew from House Industries will be in town to celebrate the launch of our new Heath/House Industries clocks, and the great jazz duo of Mattson 2 will make sure it’s not just the tick tock of clocks you’ll hear. It’s happening at Heath San Francisco on Friday, April 18th from 6-9pm. You can still join us at the opening party (6 to 9pm) for the House+Heath Industries Clocks even if you can’t attend the talk from 5 to 6pm at Heath SF, RSVP Here
