Pioneering design firm Second Story conceptualizes, designs, and develops interactive media experiences that enchant, inform, and entertain — continually devising new ways to inspire wonder and connect audiences to stories, ideas, and information. On Thursday, March 8th they will demonstrate how to create a project with a personality, identity and meaning through a unique and intensively collaborative process.

Come see it all firsthand when Julie Beeler and Daniel Meyers reveal the possibilities for storytelling in 21st century at the Academy of Art University’s Morgan Auditorium located at 491 Post Street, Doors at 6:30pm, lecture at 7pm. Everyone is welcome. And it’s free.

About Second Story
Since its inception in 1994, Portland-based Second Story has contributed to the evolution of interactive storytelling through the creation of hundreds of memorable media experiences. The studio’s diverse team of strategists, storytellers, producers, designers, and engineers has continually exploited new methods and technologies to enhance, evolve, and expand interfaces that reward interaction with powerful, personalized pathways through stories, information, and the world of ideas. Co-founder and Managing Director Julie Beeler uses her background in visual design, art history, and the liberal arts to lead the studio in shaping unique, innovative, interactive experiences that pique curiosity, spur discovery, and inspire audiences. Designer Daniel Meyers serves both as a leader and innovator in the design of spaces, fixtures and controls, and as a bridge between interactives and the environment. His architecture background brings fluency in the design of immersive, experience-driven physical environments to the studio.
