cause/affect awards ceremony

We’ve all toiled late into the night on projects for good causes with scant hope of any recognition…we’re do-gooders after all!
We believe one good deed deserves another, so join us in November as we announce the winners of cause/affect 2011: the biennial, international design competition that celebrates the work of designers and organizations who set out to positively impact our society. Join the celebration where we’ll recognize the truly worthy and give out a stack of awards to those whose creative work stacks up, check out the winners in our gallery and connect with other do-gooders.
And if you simply can’t wait until November, there’s still time to vote for your favorite nomination in our People’s Choice Award, which offers a sampling of the design delights we’ll be exhibiting. Voting ends October 21st and the winning project will be announced at the awards ceremony.
Rob Duncan, partner in Dowling Duncan—a multidisciplinary design studio with offices in the UK and the US—has been widely published and awarded for his work that solves problems with intelligent ideas, creativity and craft.
Karin Hibma, with CRONAN partner Michael Cronan were named two of Fast Company’s list of 100 Most Creative People in Business; Hibma focuses on naming and strategic brand identities, consults with orgs concentrating on ending rural poverty, and serves on the advisory council of the International Design Conference in Aspen (IDCA).
Jason Schulte, founder of Office, infuses the art and craft of design with the strategy and storytelling of advertising into solutions for some of the world’s most iconic companies. He was the recipient of the 2009 cause/affect People’s Choice award.
