Design Lecture Series: Casey Caplowe

The San Francisco chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, presents the 2011 Design Lecture Series. This year’s DLS will be comprised of four lectures, sponsored and held again at Adobe San Francisco.
One of the oldest and most important lecture series dedicated to the convergence of technology, art and design, this year’s series continues a tradition of bringing world-renowned professionals to one of the world’s great creative capitals.
This year’s lineup showcases different avenues in which creativity and design influence our culture with each speaker bringing a unique perspective to the conversation. The evening will begin with networking and will feature complimentary wine and refreshments. Come early and mingle with members of the design community.

Casey Caplowe, co-founder & chief creative officer
GOOD
Casey Caplowe is a co-founder of GOOD and currently serves as the Chief Creative Officer and Product Lead. Since GOOD began, Casey has helped to build and shape the look, feel, and voice of the brand and all of its creations online, in print, video, and live events. GOOD’s products, under Casey’s direction, have been widely recognized and acclaimed, including several National Magazine Award Nominations in 2008 and 2009 and various Webby’s for videos in 2008 and 2009.
Casey also speaks widely on GOOD and with a specific focus on design and collaboration. Notable engagements in the past include the Social Design Symposium in Tokyo, Influx Curated in San Francisco, and TEDx in Sao Paulo, and Insights Series at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
Prior to GOOD, Casey worked on two concurrent start-up apparel ventures with his father. Prior to that, he graduated from Brown University.
