Urban Forest Project Reception

Please join us for the Urban Forest Project preview event at the Bayview Opera House!
Join us to celebrate the artwork created for The Urban Forest Project by mentoring teams that paired professional designers from AIGA San Francisco with high school students from BAVC, SF Cameraworks: First Exposures, San Francisco Youth Commission, Southern Exposure and Young Artists at Work/Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. We’ll also be previewing artwork from Academy of Art University students and alumni.
Children and teens will have the opportunity to work with professional designers to create their own Urban Forest Project artwork.
San Francisco’s Environment Department will be on hand with information about a wealth of topics, including how to recycle and compost using the city’s home collection program.
Be the first to see the artwork created for the project.

Carry -On….................
Amazing energy at today’s reception at the Bayview Opera House on a rainy Saturday in the City. Thank you to everyone who participated directly in the Urban Forest {Mentoring}! Great turnout of mentees, mentors, families, friends, designers, sponsors, civic youth organizations, civil groups, and volunteers. Many thanks to Worldstudio NY, and to Andréa Pellegrino for being here for the reception. Among the design commmunity, it was a nice convergence of the current AIGA SF president Brian Singer, incoming president Alice Bybee, and former presidents Christopher Simmons and Amy Gustincic!
