AIGA San Francisco will host a free Opening Reception in our office to kick-off Design Week and unveil the exhibit: 50th Anniversary of Communication Arts. The exhibit will be up until August 7, 2009.
AIA/AIGA Gallery Space is open generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Founded in 1959, Communication Arts is the premier source of inspiration for graphic designers, art directors, design firms, corporate design departments, advertising agencies, interactive designers, illustrators and photographers—everyone involved in visual communication.
As part of the event, the AIGA SF board of directors will present the prestigious AIGA Fellow Awards to three San Francisco Chapter members:
- Doug Akagi, Alterpop
- Leslie Becker, California College of the Arts
- Michael Cronan, ::CRONAN::
The AIGA Fellow program is a means of recognizing mature designers who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional design community as well as in their local AIGA chapter. List of San Francisco Fellows.
