A Not So Silent Wine Auction

Opening Video by Trollbäck + Company
Photography by Jay Ganaden Photography

AIGA San Francisco teams up with Clos du Val Winery for our biggest event of the year, featuring an exhibition and benefit auction of one-of-a-kind wine packaging designed by some of the most visionary artists and designers in the region.

Enjoy food, drinks and live jazz music as well as the latest offerings from more than 15 industry sponsors and other special surprises.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Inneract Project, a community program that introduces graphic design to inner city youths. For more information, or to get involved, visit www.inneractproject.org.

Wine provided by Music by AntonJazz.

People’s Choice Award
In the spirit of the voting season, everyone will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite design. The winning designer/artist will be announced at the event.

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out last night and supporting us, I hope everyone had a fantastic time.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, who are supporting us in some pretty tough times, we really appreciate it.

Alex, those lights turned out great! And Brian, thank you for being the solid voice of reason throughout this entire process, I really appreciate it.

Shasta, you rock, thanks for organizing the biggest and best team of volunteers we’ve had in years, which makes running an event of this size infinitely easier.

To all of our volunteers, thank you so much for all of your help, time and hard work, we couldn’t pull off an event like this without you, I truly mean that.

I also want to thank Trollback + Co. who graciously donated their time and efforts in creating the intro for last night’s gala, it turned out gorgeous.

A big thank you to Debra and her team at Clos Du Val Winery for donating all of the wine for last night’s event. (How good was that wine? Clearly the best wine I’ve ever had at an event). To the folks who won bids and get to try their 2004 Stag’s Leap District Cab, let me know how it is.

And a very special thank you to Don, our executive director who deserves all the credit, for all the hard work he did behind the scenes to make last night the success it was. Someone give this man a raise ;-)

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheers,
Dave

Stay Tuned …

We’re putting together some photos of the event (yes we probably have compromising photos of you) as well as the wine bottles and will post them soon (probably next week at some point after some much needed rest).

Also, if you took any pics, we’d all love to see them. I think the best way to share them would be to post them to Flickr and tag them “AIGAsf Put a Cork In It” then leave a comment with the link to your set.

And if you have any video and put it up on Youtube, put a comment here with the link, we’d appreciate it.

Last but not least, we’d love to hear from you, so post some comments.

Also a big thank you to the artists, designers and photographers who worked wonders in a limited amount of time (my fault, sorry), every single bottle there turned out fantastic.

And thank you to Jay Ganaden, who did all of the photography for the bottles and also delivered under a really tight deadline.
