AIGA San Francisco Celebrates 25th Anniversary

AIGA San Francisco is celebrating our 25th anniversary. Founded in 1983 as the national organization began creating local chapters to decentralize leadership, AIGA SF is one of the oldest chapters. In the quarter century since our founding, we have grown to also be one of the largest and most active.
We’d like to recognize the original group of dedicated professionals who founded the chapter:
- Doug Akagi
- Leslie Becker
- Rich Burns
- Michael Cronan
- Barry Deutsch
- Jim Foelman
- Craig Frazier
- Kit Hinrichs
- Tom Ingalls
- Conrad Jorgenson
- Kate Keating
- Russell Leong
- Michael Manwaring
- Michael Mabry
- Harry Murphy
- Steve Reoutt
- Susan Roach
- Neil Shakery
- Jim Stockton
- Michael Vanderbyl
We’d also like to recognize Linda Hinrichs who served tirelessly as the first president of the chapter from 1983–1985.

I love the site revamp. This is a long time coming, but well worth the wait.

The layout is pretty clean and straightforward. A nice design, though nothing inspired. Main body area column is narrow and could make better use of variable browser widths. This would help to reduce need for vertical scrolling. Use of Flash animation on homepage feels a bit gratuitous.
